Lure guide by species and season
Pick a species for ranked lure recommendations for open water and the ice season. The same recommendations as in the Eräkaveri app.

How the recommendations are made
The guide is a rule base built from Finnish recreational angling practice: common lure types, sizes and colours plus familiar example products. In the app, the weather refines the colour choice.
A lure is chosen on four things
- Species: zander want a jig deep down, pike a jerkbait or spoon at the weed edge, perch a small jig on the bottom
- Season: casting and trolling in open water, balance jigs and mormyshkas on the ice
- Depth: the lure follows where the species holds right now; the app's Where the fish are shows the zone on your water
- Weather and water: natural colours in clear water, bright and glow colours in murky water and at dusk
