Which lure for salmon?
Salmon are trolled deep and fly-fished in rapids. On rivers, permit areas and quotas must always be checked before fishing.

When salmon feed
The river salmon season is June–July when the run is busiest; in the north it continues into August. Rising flow after rain moves the fish. At sea, salmon are trolled in spring and early summer in cool surface water. Quotas and closures vary by river and year.
How the guide works
Recommendations come from Eräkaveri's fishing guide, which picks lures by species and season. In the app the guide combines with the bite forecast and Where the fish are, which points to the species' depth zone on your water.
Legal minimum sizes, closed seasons and permit areas are always checked from official sources.
