Eräkaveri shows depth contours directly on the fishing map and computes Best spots from them: areas where the depth suits the chosen species. The depth data is Traficom's official chart material.
What a depth map tells an angler
Zander hold at 4–12 m, perch on rocky bottoms at 3–8 m and pike along weed edges at 1–4 m. Eräkaveri combines depth and species into the Best spots layer, so you do not have to read the contours yourself.
Coverage and limits
The data is Traficom's nautical chart material: sea areas and large lakes with fairways such as Saimaa, Päijänne and Lake Inari. Small lakes without fairways have no contours. Depth data is not intended for navigation and does not replace a chart.
Frequently asked questions
Will my cabin lake show depths?
Only if the lake has a fairway charted by Traficom. Small lakes without fairways are not in the data.
