Mushroom and berry forests

Liesjärvi National Park's old spruce forests and the pine heaths on its ridges are among southern Finland's best mushroom forests: chanterelle and funnel chanterelle in the spruce, porcini on the dry heaths from August to September. Bilberries grow on the fresh heaths throughout the park. The habitat shading is based on Finnish Forest Centre data; the app does not identify mushrooms.

Trails and Korteniemi

The park's marked trails are short loops of a few kilometres between ridges and mires, and the Korteniemi heritage farm is the summer attraction. Trail weather shows the weather for each section, and lean-tos and fire sites appear on the card.

Liesjärvi and the small ponds

Liesjärvi and the park's ponds are quiet pike and perch waters; permits and restrictions appear in the restrictions layer. There are no fairways, so no depth contours are shown, but the bite forecast works.
