Shore fishing without a boat
The forest lakes of the Nuuksio lake upland are small, clear and rocky-shored, and many can be fished from the shore or a canoe. Perch is a sure catch in summer and through the ice, pike take at the reed edges in spring and autumn. Most lakes are Metsähallitus permit areas; the restrictions layer shows them.
What the app shows here, and what it does not
The lakes have no fairways, so there are no depth contours or Best spots. The bite forecast works, and in winter the ice model gives an estimate of thickness – a model, and the straits and springs of small lakes are weak regardless.
Bilberries on the heaths
The heath forests between the lakes are bilberry and lingonberry ground; the habitat shading shows suitable stands from Finnish Forest Centre data.
