From Saariselkä to Luirojärvi

The park's western part around Saariselkä and Kiilopää has marked day trails and ski tracks; further east begins the wilderness, crossed from hut to hut by your own navigation. Eräkaveri shows the marked trails and huts, but in the wilderness part no trail is drawn, and the map area should be saved offline before coverage ends.

Ski tracks at Saariselkä and Kiilopää

The track network reaches the park's edge and appears in the app from Lipas. Conditions are computed from the weather; the late-winter crust in March–April is the time for long tours. Inside the park there are no groomed tracks.

Cloudberry mires and river fishing

The park's mires are known cloudberry ground; the crop ripens here only in early August. The Suomujoki and Luttojoki are grayling and trout rivers under Metsähallitus permits, and the app's flow data shows when the river has dropped after rain.
