Trails from Haukkalampi and Haltia

Nuuksio National Park's marked loops start from Haukkalampi and the Haltia nature centre: the shortest are a couple of kilometres, Korpinkierros about eight. The terrain is rocky and rooty with more climbing than the length suggests. Eräkaveri shows the trails on the National Land Survey topographic map with elevation profiles, plus lean-tos, fire sites and water along the way.

Forest lakes without depth contours

The park's lakes are small forest lakes with no Traficom-charted fairways, so the app shows no depth contours here and invents none. The bite forecast still works, since it is computed from weather and pressure, and the restrictions layer shows where a Metsähallitus permit is needed. Perch and pike are the usual catch.

Berries and birds

The heaths between the rocky hills are bilberry and lingonberry ground; forest data covers the private forests around the park. Black-throated divers nest on the lakes, and recent sightings appear in the birds mode.
